Installation Instructions

Model SC-934-5-A Overhead Bracket

An adjustable overhead bracket installed on the roll bar of the partition wall that allows the use or exchange of any weapons in the setup.

Installation is limited to the roll bar of a partition wall.

We selected an AR-15 for demonstration but the same mounting principles apply to all weapons (see pictures on the other side).

Fig. 1. MARK GUN LOCK RANGE
Hold the actual weapons up to the roll bar of the cage at your desired mounting location and decide where you want the gun lock to grab each weapon. Have a felt pen ready to mark the range where gun locks should be located.

IMPORTANT: The end of butt stocks for all weapons should line up at the same horizontal location. Mark that location.

Fig. 2. INSTALL MOUNTING BASES
Gun lock range should be centered between two mounting bases. Mount butt plate base so the center of the base is 1 1/4" to the left of the line you marked for the end of butt plates. See details of mounting base installation on Figures 4 -10.

Fig. 4. CUT FOAM COVER ON BACK OF ROLLBAR
Push a sharp pencil/screwdriver through the foam at your mark and make a vertical cut in the foam at that point in the back.

Fig. 5. INSTALL U-BOLT
Install the 2 plastic points on the legs of the U-bolt and push it through from the back so the whole U-bolt disappears under the foam cover.

Fig. 6. DISCARD PLASTIC TIPS
Remove and discard plastic tips from U-bolt legs.

Fig. 7. INSTALL WASHERS AND NUT
Install flat washer, lockwasher and nut on the TOP leg of the U-bolt.

Fig. 8-9-10. INSTALL MOUNTING BASE
Hook up top of mounting base under nut and washers you just installed on the top leg of the U-bolt. Fold mounting base down so the bottom leg of the U-bolt comes through the hole in the base and install washers and nut on the bottom leg of the U-bolt. Pay attention to the alignment of the front face of the base. Move it up and down to your desired angle then tighten both nuts.

Fig. 11. BUTT PLATE INSTALLATION
Decide if you want your weapon to be parallel or perpendicular to the roof. Use two 5/16-18 button head screws in the package to install the L shape Butt Plate support (SC-9903) on the mounting base. Install a Butt Plate on the L bracket in the desired (vertical or horizontal) configuration.

Fig. 3. FLAT BAR AND GUN LOCK INSTALLATION
Insert flat bar in the rectengular opening in the bottom of the gun lock and use the supplied 5/16-18" button head screws to munt the flat bar (SC-503) on the mounting bases that cover the gun lock range.

INSTALL WEAPONS
Place the butt stock of your weapon into the butt plate and slide gun lock on flat bar to a location where just grabs the weapon at your predetermined location. Secure gun lock on flat bar at that location by tightening the internal set screw with the supplied 5/32" allen key.

Test and test your setup until you are satisfied that your weapon is secure and it is easy to mount and remove.

IMPORTANT
Do not push the ratchet arm onto the weapon too strong. One click after weapon contact is perfect. The push button activated electric lock opening will have trouble opening your gun lock if you pushed the arm too strong at insertion.

We reserve the right to change our design and prices any time without notice.
