Model SC-931-5 Muzzle Down Setup for Rifles or Auto Shotguns

The Model SC-931-5 setup has been designed to secure a rifle or auto shotgun in front of the front passenger seat.

Installation:

Step 1. Preassembly: Bolt together all components as shown on the other side with carriage bolts, washers and nuts provided with the gunlock. Do not tighten screws.

Step 2. Place your weapon in the gunlock and position the whole assembly right in front of the passenger seat so the barrel of the weapon points down into the foot cavity. Adjust the height of the mounting hinge (SC-9302) so the buttstock of the weapon is positioned nicely over the seat.

Step 3. Depending on the muzzle piece you ordered, you either have the SC-403 L Muzzle Support or the SC-9303 Flat Muzzle Support. Install SC-9311 Muzzle Cup in either of muzzle supports and insert the end of the rifle in the cup.

Step 4. Move the whole assembly around to find the best position. When satisfied, mark mounting hole locations for both the muzzle support and SC-401 uprights. Check the other side of floor board to avoid drilling into electrical wires or other lines and components.

Drill holes and install nuts and bolts.
Remove and reinsert the weapon several times making minute adjustments.
Tighten all nuts and bolts when satisfied.

Manual Key Override feature:

The gunlock has a manual - key operated - override feature to open the lock in case of electrical failure.

You do not have to use the key but it is there, ready to open the gunlock, should you ever need it. Just insert the key provided with the lock and turn it 90 degrees counter clockwise to open the lock and remove your weapon.

Note: the two ways to open the lock - electric and manual key operated - work independently.
