Installation Instructions
Model SC915-1AB Partition Wall Bracket Click here for the pdf version
Santa Cruz Model SC-915-1AB mounting system was
designed to secure any weapon between the driver
and passenger seats where it can be readily
available and rapidly deployed.
Step 1.
Install butt plate on the hinged adjustable L bracket
(part no. SC-9151) with allan screws that came with the
butt plate. Do not tighten screws yet.
Note: Depending on your install location, you may use
only the 3 sheetmetal screws for the butt plate if you
can install butt plate directly on a wall or floor without
using the L bracket.
Step 2.
Mark screw locations on wall/floor. Check other side of
wall/floor for electrical and fuel lines. Drill your holes
and install assembly.
Note:
These two illustraions are shown with the camlock
facing upwards. You may also rotate the gunlock
180 degrees so that the camlock faces downward.
This is usually done if the gunlock is going to be
mounted above eye level. |
Step 3.
Decide wether the gunlock will be mounted on the left
or right side of the mounting bar. |
Step 4.
To mount the vertical mounting bar (part no. SC-506),
measure about 1.7 inches off of the vertical center
line of the hinged L bracket (part no. SC-9151) on the
side that the bar will be mounted. Hold the mounting
bar in place and mark the screw locations on wall and
rollbar. Check other side of wall for electrical lines and
relocate if necessary.
Step 5.
Drill all three holes. The top hole should be drilled
13/64ths or smaller for the lag bolt so that the threads
will grab the hole correctly. Avoid overtightening so
that you will not strip the threads. |
Step 6.
Slightly tighten all bolts and screws so you can still
move parts around. Put your actual weapon in the gun
lock and butt plate and position your whole assembly at
your intended location. Adjust hinge height/angle and
butt plate position until your weapon is properly lined
up. Then adjust the hight of the gunlock so that the
weapon cannot be pulled out of the butt plate.
Important: Weapon must have some (1/16") free play in
gun lock for gun lock mechanism to operate correctly.
Weapon should not press against gun lock door.
Step 7.
Place your weapon in the setup, test and retest your
installation by repeatedly installing and removing the
weapon to and from the assembly. When satisfied,
tighten all screws and test again. |
